The Haliburton Tourism Association is the most recent addition to the UpNorth TV network. The organization approved adding its four county-wide screens to UpNorth TV, the only digital network targeted at northern Ontario cottagers, tourists and residents. UpNorth TV features content relevant to the market, including information about fire and boat safety, endangered species, and how to deal with black bears, as well as local services and product advertising.
Haliburton Tourism is in good company, joining a number of prominent locations in cottage country, including Home Hardware stores, Foodland grocery stores and Castle Building Centres.
“Local businesses love the fact that they can advertise their own products and services onscreen,” explains Tim Hockley. “And UpNorth is so customizable. For Haliburton Tourism, it’s a dynamic way for their organization to get their messages across to their target audience.”
