UpNorth TV welcomes Haliburton Tourism

The Haliburton Tourism Association is the most recent addition to the UpNorth TV network. The organization approved adding its four county-wide screens to UpNorth TV, the only digital network targeted at northern Ontario cottagers, tourists and residents. UpNorth TV features content relevant to the market, including information about fire and boat safety, endangered species, and how to deal with black bears, as well as local services and product advertising.

Haliburton Tourism is in good company, joining a number of prominent locations in cottage country, including Home Hardware stores, Foodland grocery stores and Castle Building Centres.

“Local businesses love the fact that they can advertise their own products and services onscreen,” explains Tim Hockley. “And UpNorth is so customizable. For Haliburton Tourism, it’s a dynamic way for their organization to get their messages across to their target audience.”

The Federation of Ontario Cottagers’ Associations (FOCA) and the Ministry of Natural Resources are helping deter black bears from turning up as “unwanted guests” this summer, thanks to a new Public Service Announcement (PSA) produced by Redstone. The 30-second PSA provides tips on what cottagers and northern Ontario residents can do to help keep black bears from wandering on to their properties.

JoeTV getting ready to expand across Ontario

After a successful one year beta test in the Peterborough, Ontario market, JoeTV is ready to expand to other cities. JoeTV Peterborough, which features 25 screens in high impact and well viewed locations such as the Peterborough Regional Health Centre, Home Hardware stores, Galaxy Cinemas, Showplace, Natas Cafe and the Canoe Museum, focuses on community content and local advertising. JoeTV now has it sights set on 25 more regional centres over the next three years.

Integrative veterinary magazine launching this summer

Redstone is proud to announce plans to launch a new publication targeted at the veterinary world. The premiere issue of Integrative Veterinary Care Magazine (IVC) will be published this summer, and distributed to a select list of veterinarians and veterinary technicians interested in integrative health care. The quarterly magazine will be the only one of its kind to bridge the gap between conventional veterinary care and holistic health care approaches, including acupuncture and chiropractic.
